Team Rice Update from Invermere
Our transition to Royal LePage Rockies West Realty has been very rewarding and we are looking forward to all the great things they have in store to implement over the next year that is both beneficial for us real estate representatives, our clients and our community.
DK went to a very informative Investment Forum in Toronto on the weekend and feels very optimistic that there are quality investments still out there that are making good returns right now and are RRSP eligible. Market Update:
We have spent the last 3 weeks viewing over 70 properties with the team from our office from one end of the valley to the other and have came to a very clear conclusion that has also been verified factually by BC Real Estate Board for our area that the market has dropped 15%-20% already. We have had many offers take place and there have been some sales come together. Still the majority of sales are below $350k. We have been working on our sellers that may have been over priced for today’s market to do price adjustments to reflect today’s market and most are willing to do this.
We all love when the sun comes out and the golf courses open, that’s when the vacation owners, their friends and family all fill the valley. We feel like things are happening here when all our owners are out. It is especially nice running into clients at the grocery store that we haven’t seen since last year.

Riverside and Mountainside in Fairmont, Copper Point (April 4), Windermere
Ski Hill Conditions:
Spring skiing has been great, they have had a bunch of fresh snow to finish off the season, last day April 13, 2009.
It is our feeling that now is the perfect time to buy with the interest rates at an all time low, and prices dropping from last year, you will get way more house/cottage for your money today.
